Victorian Coral Hand Holding Talisman Charms

Carved coral is one of my favorite things, we’re so happy to have found this mid-19th century Victorian talisman pendant featuring a skillfully carved coral hand holding three coral charms. The charms take their cue from the natural shape of the coral branches: a lucky cornuto horn, a lucky gnome and a fanciful piece that looks …slightly phallic if I’m being honest.

Details: Measuring 2 1/2″ long not including the jump ring, the charms each have a gold bale and are attached to the loop the hand holds by a gold chain. The gold components XRF test to 9k and 10k. The bail loop is 14k.

Condition: In excellentantique condition with a light patina and some natural inclusions in the coral but no chips or scratches.
